Mission 91¶ÌÊÓƵment

The Office of Institutional Research at Old Dominion 91¶ÌÊÓƵ serves to provide accurate, timely, and relevant data and analysis in support of decision making across the entire institution while also ensuring institutional compliance with the state and Federal data reporting mandates.

Goals

  • Build collaborative relationships between IR and offices across the entire institution, including but not limited to, Enrollment Management, Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Academic Affairs, and ITS by providing data support for initiatives related to the strategic goals of the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ and SEES.
  • Increase utilization of compliance data to produce meaningful information of interest to stakeholders.

  • Be proactive and responsive as appropriate in identifying priorities
  • Identify and implement as necessary new tools and technologies
  • Provide opportunities for staff cross-training; minimize the number of person - specific assignments
  • Build a library of clear up-to-date documentation of processes and procedures
  • Encourage and support professional development

  • Provide easily accessible appropriate data in a user friendly format
