Our accomplishments as a university are a result of the convergence of talent, intellect, and creativity that occur daily within our classrooms and on campus. Faculty-focused supports help us to maximize our efforts. Faculty affinity groups are governed by faculty and supported by the university. The university seeks formal feedback from these cultural affinity groups in ways that enhance the university climate and identify necessary strategies for cultural inclusion. These groups enable members in adjusting to the academy and maintaining work-life balance. In addition, these groups support members by identifying and addressing collective needs, providing peer-to-peer mentorship and assisting members in navigating the academy. All of these efforts enhance our university by supporting an inclusive environment here on campus.
