Chair's Welcome
Welcome to the Department of Teaching & Learning in the Darden College of Education and Professional Studies! We offer initial teacher licensure programs in early childhood education, elementary education, secondary education, and the MonarchTeach program, which provides mathematics and science undergraduate majors a path to teacher licensure. Additionally, we offer graduate licensed teacher programs to support PreK-12 licensed teachers and to prepare reading specialists and mathematics specialists, as well as a rigorous Ph.D. program in Curriculum & Instruction.
Our department houses nationally and internationally renowned faculty engaged in research, teaching, and service across PreK-12 education.
