The 37th Annual Literary Festival begins with a PRE-FESTIVAL EVENT on Thursday, October 2: The Butcher, the Baker, the Artisanal Maker: Fortifying Our Community Table, a panel discussion on how sustainable food and farming efforts provide nourishment for a positive future within our local communities. DELORES B. PHILLIPS -- Her "Creative Eats" presentation will be in the Learning Commons @ Perry Library on Wednesday, October 8 from 2-3pm. She will examine how writers and artists use the visual arts and cookbook writing to upset our conventional notions of food culture.
