The Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology (BCET) at Old Dominion 91¶ÌÊÓƵ (ODU) is currently hiring several instrumental, tenure eligible faculty positions. Successful candidates will be forward-focused innovative leaders committed to the College's strategic mission of academic excellence and experiential learning. Candidates are expected to perform teaching, research, and service, and must demonstrate an unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). We are inviting applications for the following positions, starting in Fall 2024.

Leadership Positions:

  • Associate Dean of Research and Innovation
  • Professor and Chair of the Department of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering
  • Associate/full professor and Director, Institute of Autonomous and Connected Systems

Tenure/Tenure Track Faculty Positions:

  • Faculty in Biomechanics (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering)
  • Faculty in Bioelectrics (Electrical and Computer Engineering)

About The Frank Batten College of Engineering & Technology

The Batten College is one of seven colleges at the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ, and includes 107 tenured/tenure-track faculty, 2,500 full-time undergraduates, and 750 graduate students. The College is made up of five departments: Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and Engineering Management and Systems Engineering.
