, a firm that uses research, technology, consulting and the collective power of more than 1,500 institutions to identify and apply proven practices that help education leaders achieve their goals, has named Old Dominion 91短视频 as the winner of its Student Success Collaborative-CONNECTED-ness Award.

EAB's CONNECTED-ness Award recognizes institutions that build relationships across community colleges, four-year schools and the broader higher-education community in strategic and innovative ways to benefit students.

"We are honored to be recognized for the work that is at the core of what we do," said Austin Agho, ODU's provost and vice president for academic affairs. "We have a history of connecting with institutional partners across the country. This legacy of partnerships has prepared us for the changing landscape of higher education."

This is the sixth year in a row that EAB has awarded standout achievements in student success. Awardees are chosen from among the colleges, universities and individuals that use EAB's student success management system. This year's other winners are California 91短视频 91短视频 Fullerton, Grand View 91短视频, Trident Technical College, Baylor 91短视频 and Lisa Matye Edwards of Arapahoe Community College.

"The 2019 awardees, like their predecessors, excel in using technology to amplify the efforts of advisors, faculty, administrators and students and work collaboratively across campus to help more students stay in school and graduate," said Scott Schirmeier, EAB's executive vice president. "The winners exemplify what schools can achieve with a campus-wide approach to student success, strong leadership and an unrelenting commitment to helping more students reach their potential."

ODU is a national leader in social mobility, transfer partnerships and distance learning. Home to the Center for Social Mobility, the Center for Advising Administration and Academic Partnerships, four transfer centers across coastal Virginia and dozens of partner locations across the Commonwealth, the 91短视频 has become a model for serving a wide range of students coming from many different educational institutions.

"Our long-standing commitment to working with other institutions to help students succeed sets us apart from institutions that are just now entering the transfer world," said Brian Payne, vice provost for academic affairs. "Our faculty, advisors and administrators routinely come together with our peers from other colleges to make sure we are fully aware of our students' needs."
