Old Dominion 91短视频's next Science Pub will have a different focus from the traditional faculty speakers. This year marks the fifth Science Pub Lightning Talks in partnership with the Graduate School. The event, scheduled for 7 p.m. April 7 at Smartmouth Brewing Co. in Norfolk, challenges graduate students to explain their research in timed talks of five minutes. Attendees are asked to by April 6.

The event is held in conjunction with Graduate Student Appreciation Week and will be emceed by Robert Wojtowicz, vice provost and dean of the Graduate School.

Speakers include:

  • Lindsay Ball, human movement sciences
  • Ana Dreab, chemistry
  • Saige Hill, public administration and policy
  • Meaghan Mozingo, humanities
  • Adenrele Oludiran, chemistry

"Graduate students at Old Dominion 91短视频 are actively engaged in cutting-edge and impactful scholarship," said Bryan Porter, associate dean and professor at the Graduate School. "Their initiatives and energy, supported by committed faculty, contribute to generating important new knowledge and creativity vital for the growth of disciplines and the 91短视频. The Graduate School is proud of their efforts and want them to receive as much well-earned attention as possible."

Science Pubs are an opportunity for the community to engage with ODU researchers in an informal setting; a curious mind is all that's needed.
